I am entering the Love Veggies and Yoga Earlier Holiday Seasons & Organic Produce Giveaway
I love that I was able to find another person out there that feels the same way I do about holidays but for me living in New England it runs deeper because my wonderful seasons are effected by this store and worldly mayhem.
Do you decorate for the holidays? Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc
The only holiday I have ever in my grown life decorated for was Christmas. I am one of those people that just take holidays as what they are. DAYS! With that said I have not even pulled my Christmas stuff from my mom’s attic in over 4 years. Yes you heard me FOUR years. This year however I heard my husband say he has never had a good holiday in his life. He doesn’t even remember a “good” not great but good holiday in his childhood. So this year the kids will be healthy, lets stretch that everyone will be healthy and I have started to decorated. Last weekend we went into my mom’s attic and much to my surprise my old Christmas goodies were there damage free and ready to be set up. My now four year old; our youngest has no Christmas ornaments, no stocking, nothing that signifies that she has ever had a Christmas. So she has been playing with all of the animals in our manger and I pulled out a sharpie and wrote on several ornaments of Izabellas choosing Izabella’s 1st Christmas and the date 2nd, 3rd, you get it. So my daughter has picked ornaments from our tree and made them her own.
We also went out and got some pinecones, pebbles, acorn tops, leaves, and pieces from an old fake tree that we found in yup you guessed it mom’s attic; just so you know if you are ever looking for something the first stop should be mom’s attic. We sat down for hours and made Christmas ornament. Izabella said she will be giving her ornaments out as Christmas gifts I love the giving heart of this child.

So here we are in the full the swing of Christmas My Birthday hasn’t even come yet it is November 8th and I should have gifts for everyone under the sun by the time my kids are done making things.
Christmas gifts and trees are nice they brought some extra cheer into our life and we are having fun as a family. I am still teaching my children the most important things about Christmas #1 the birth or Jesus Christ; they already knew this one #2 With so many people that have nothing GIVING is big in my house. We have given bins that are being filled in our house this year we are giving to Operation Christmas Child, Providence Rescue Mission, Hats, gloves, ornaments and toys to the local Ronald Mc Donald House for the children and their families. And a donation will be made to the Elisha Project. We will continue looking for areas where we can bless others throughout this holiday season. I am glad this year that we started early my family is joyous and we are able to reach more people in need of some holiday love. #2 How early do you think is too early for Christmas stuff to make an appearance in stores?
I was bothered by Christmas stuff!! I really would get upset to see that my local stores had overflow bins of summer clearance, Halloween stuff and Christmas was hitting the shelf. I hear you. Get over it! But people it is only October 20th J Why must we cross sell so early $$$ Why must you rush me past a holiday before it has started $$$ I will not let the bottom $ of any company in my area ruin another season, holiday or day before I fully enjoy it. I was a hold out and I always missed the great stuff, the stuff you see when you’re getting your everyday items and saying look kids it’s October and the Christmas stuff is out. HA HA HA!!! I have started to take advantage of sales, I buy the item and if I find it cheaper I buy that one and return the other with my receipt. Keep your receipt or you will loose out. I am within 10 minutes of several store I know this sounds silly but what ever. My kids enjoy finding something we bought cheaper because the money goes into their money bin or to buy other new items. Many stores give 90 days to return no questions asked just have your receipt. No I don’t need my Christmas stuff in October; but I don’t miss out on the item I really wanted anymore. Bathing suites when it is snowing, Autumn dishes when I’m at the beach, Christmas while the leaves are falling I have just adapted my thinking to take advantage of their products and sales.
